Farm Updates

Back and ready for an amazing season!

Harvest time is here, and it’s an exciting moment as we begin to gather the vegetables of our labor after months of hard work and planning. We started planting back in January with our onions and have been busy ever since, getting crops in on time and carefully tending the fields now brimming with food.

For the first six weeks, look forward to savoring the spring season and all the wonderful crops that thrive in this weather. You'll enjoy produce like Chinese cabbage, collards, kohlrabi, green onions, hakurei turnips, and more. All highlights of this fresh seasonal journey.

Spring won't be all greens and roots though. Our greenhouses are full of favorites like cherry tomatoes and cucumbers, which should arrive a few weeks before those out in the open fields.

To help kick off the season, we are excited to partner with Agriberry Farm, a wonderful fruit grower in the Mid-Atlantic. Many farms in our region, including ours, are being affected by a fungal disease that thrives in hot, humid spring conditions. While we still expect to harvest some berries from our own fields, the yield will be lighter than usual. That makes us especially grateful to share fruit from a farm that devotes the care and attention these berries deserve. We hope you enjoy!

Friendly reminders:

  • Please remember to bring your own bags or boxes to pick-up to help reduce waste

  • Also, for the safety of our livestock and the integrity of our food, no dogs are allowed at pick-ups. Thank you for understanding and helping us keep the farm and food safe for everyone.

  • 13 week shareholders can visit us any of the 26 weeks of harvest to use share credits. No need to notify us if you are coming.
